Mimar Sinan Memorial Pavilion is located on the Üsküdar coast, very close to the historical Mihrimah Sultan Mosque, Semsi Paşa Mosque and the Great Bath designed by Mimar Sinan. The project directs the visitors in the wide public spaces on the coast to a focal point, a “Pier” whose location is determined according to the historical data of the coastline, in order to truly see and think about Sinan's architecture.

While the interventions of the coast, especially in the last ten years, which violate the historical boundaries that need to be protected, are criticized with the boats rising from the ground like ghosts. These boats both remind us the strong relationship Sinan has established with the sea in the real context of his monumental structures and also serve as urban furniture. With their sculptural appearance, they revive a layer that has been covered today.
