Together with Architect Alissa Remenschneider, we are asked to propose new type of housing as a solution to harsh living conditions and lack of urban facilities in the Barceloneta neighborhood. Barceloneta is a old urban fabric in Barcelona city.

It has high density, lack of public spaces and a difficult connection in its edges to the rest of the city. It was designed as a grid of linear streets leaving a main public space around the church. Each block measured 8.40 m and initially a house was a square of 8.40 x 8.40 m in two floors.
As a new housing extension to the existing Barceloneta grid, we have developed new housing blocks accommodating 125 units varying in sizes [100 m²-140m²] and types [1 Br, 2Br, 3Br] as well as 65 commercial units [50 m²-75²] on the ground floor.
